Data Stewardship

This is not how I started, but this is how I roll! My new passion is to FAIR-ify data and ensure GDPR compliance, and support Open Science! Additionally, I streamlined workflows by automating metadata generation, reducing manual work, supporting data accessibility for research and sustainability.

My expertise spans hydrology, climate risk assessment, and AI predictive modeling. From developing Early Warning Systems for natural disasters to implementing AI models for cimate predictions; using complex environmental data to find actionable tools for sustainable decision-making and resilience planning.

Data Steward
  • Implemented data governance policies that ensured compliance with FAIR principles and GDPR, resulting in zero data breaches over 11 months period and establishing trust among partners
  • Maintained exceptional service levels with a consistent 99.1% uptime across REWRITE Cloud and OpenProject platforms by promptly addressing system failures within the timeframe of approximately 15 minutes on average
  • Developed an AI model using machine learning algorithm, achieving 80% accuracy in predicting sea water level and surface water temperature by analyzing 300+ years of oceanographic data
  • Data gathering, literature review and future data generation for Loire site of REWRITE
  • Implemented an automated metadata generation system using R on 50GB of data, directly attaching metadata to files in the cloud and reducing manual creation time by 8 hours per week
Research Assistant
  • Collaborated with the World Health Organization WHO and the IERI project on data integration, improving predictive modeling accuracy by 30% to forecast future dengue fever outbreaks in Laos by analyzing clinical, epidemiological and climate data
  • Led research on future flood prediction in Indonesia, publishing a peer-reviewed journal paper by developing a machine learning model with 90% accuracy, Early Warning System EWS and deploying a user-friendly forecasting website
  • Managed end-to-end data pipeline, including data crawling, data pre-processing and visualization, data analysis, built ML model, developed and deployed a clean and user-friendly website, writing, proofreading, poster design
  • Researched heavy metal contamination and applied AI models to predict future contamination trends, contributing to a peer reviewed publication
